Overview

Opened as of late as the year 2000, this path isn't greatly frequented by trekkers and is effectively perhaps the best trek in the Indian Himalaya. The total separation we experience among Chiwabhanjang and Dzongri with grand high mountain sees from the beginning makes this trek a flat out great. We additionally get the opportunity to associate with Yak herders with their tremendous groups who go through the months among April and October in these brushing grounds. The majority of the walk is on the edge or near it, the edge shaping the outskirts among India and Nepal. We camp a few days in Nepal in the first place and most days in India. There are segments of tight ways, high points, and low points, and some scree strolling yet generally, the path is acceptable utilized basically by yak herders in Sikkim and Nepal.

We start from a little, pleasant town of Uttarey and stroll through thick woods for 2 days passing some Indian Army Posts till we reach Chiwabhanjang. After that we are for the most part over the tree line, strolling on the edge with fabulous perspectives on the two sides and the snow mountains transcending out yonder. Past Parey Megu we pass a few flawless high height lakes which are adored by local people. We cross anonymous passes consistently with one of note-DafeyBir which is ordinarily foggy and has a lofty drop right to the stream after it. We hit the most well-known path of West Sikkim, the Yuksom-Dzongri-Goechala trail at Dzongri from where we trek on to Goecha-La (16273 ft), the most noteworthy point on this path from where we really need to extend our head to take a gander at Khangchendzonga which is simply 9 km away straight from one point to the other. Throughout the following two days, we drive to Yuksom, the past capital of Sikkim where the main lord of Sikkim was enthroned and furthermore has a stone Coronation royal position.

Traveling with these people is surely an insanely enthralling experience. This is my second backpacking trip with these people and the way I had imagined backpacking to be has been fulfilled by them and they have given me surely more. The best thing about travelling with these people is that you understand the true meaning of travelling and experience it very closely. You are given great freedom but at the same time taking care of. You participate in the process of backpacking. You have a trip leader with you but he acts more like a friend as the days pass by! We attended the hornbill festival and did a wonderful trek to Dzukuo valley in Nagaland with the leadership of this group. You break the boundaries of yourself when you travel like a true traveller and that is possible with these people.

I had the most wonderful experience trekking through the ranges of Chandrashila with Trekmunk. The small moments of achievement were phenomenal. Chandrashila is the most astonishing peak that I've ever trekked through; I've never been so fascinated. I think I am going to go for another trek with Trekmunk soon enough! The kind of hospitality that is provided to us is worth appreciating. I made many new friends and have enjoyed each and every day of this trek to its fullest.
