Enclosed within a serene landscape, the lake is undoubtedly an unbelievable art, really. Lined up next is the David Scott Trial that makes its way through dense and unexplored forests. Enjoy the thrill of traversing through alien and wild routes as you embark on the David Scott Trial to trek and reach the admirable town of Cherrapunjee. The highlight of the tour is the Nongriat Double Roots Bridge; this bridge is a classic epitome of natureÃ¢??s wonders and is absolutely cinematic and filmy in its appearance. Enjoy a walk around this beautiful place and please your senses with the soul-stirring views of the landscape. Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 – Drive from airport to Home stay via Umiam Lake

Upon your arrival at the airport stretch your arms wide in the cool and pleasing atmosphere of Guwahati. You will find our team members waving right back at you, ready to pick you up and kick start the most happening tour of your life. Seat yourself comfortably and enjoy the lush green landscapes outside the window as they warmly welcome you with all their might. You will be visiting the Umiam Lake which lies at a distance of approximately 103 km. We will halt for a lunch break in between, fill you with some delicious savoury and enjoy the remaining drive through the serene sylvan hills to the eye- catching and spectacular Umiam Lake. Even though it is an artificial lake, it is astonishingly beautiful and desirable to watch. Admire this popular lake situated at a highland and soak in the freshness of the surrounding to bless you with utter bliss. After whiling away some time at the lake, you will resume your drive to the home stay in Shillong. Check in and relax for the remaining day.

Day 2 – David Scott Trail Trek to Cherrapunjee

Wake up to a cozy and fragrant morning in Shillong and freshen up for the day. Proceed towards the breakfast table and enjoy a scrumptiously healthy breakfast to energize for the activities of the day. You will set out to trek along the David Scott Trail this day. It is a 16 km long trail that passes through dense forests and shall take you on an interesting journey through the wilderness. Look out for interesting and unique species of flora and fauna; Meghalaya has unique species of flora and fauna given its rich topography. Admire the Khasi hills as they accompany you throughout the journey, you will be fascinated to encounter the Khasi culture and rock sculptures on your way. Enjoy the view of rivers and bridges that you can expect to find more than often along as well as on your trek. All in all, the entire trek will surely be an enriching and adventurous experience with a variety of trials ranging from narrow avenues, bridge crossings, rocky trails, mud paths to wide paths opening into gradual ascends to the town of Cherrapunjee. With a steady pace and mini breaks in between, you can expect to cover the stretch in a span of 4-5 hours. You are advised to not pluck anything from the wilderness and not consume any of it at any cost since it can be harmful or dangerous even.

Day 3 – Hike around Nongriat Double Roots Bridge and Rainbow Waterfalls

After a tiresome and exhausting event the previous day, wake up to a beautiful bright sky this morning from a relaxing, deep sleep. Freshen up and quickly grab some piping hot, delicious breakfast to fill your tummy and lift your spirits. You will be hiking around the Nongriat Double Roots Bridge this day. The Double Decker Roots Bridge is one of the most popular and sought after places of Meghalaya. It is indeed an iconic and classic epitome of nature’s wonders. Accidentally made out of the entanglements of the roots of two trees, this bridge also known as the “Living Roots Bridge”, sits in the dense forest of the village of Nongriat located in the East Khasi Hills of Meghalaya. After crossing many suspension bridges and descending over 3000 steps, you will finally watch the serene and mind-boggling beauty of the Double Roots Bridge unfold before you. Be sure to take careful steps as you enjoy a walk over the root bridge. This will be your chance to live the awe-striking, exceptional and wild beauty of nature. You can take your time to soak in the natural and pleasing energies of the area. Additionally, a trek to the Rainbow Waterfall that remains 1.5 hours away from this site is also offered to those who may be interested in taking a dip in its refreshing water.

Day 4 – Sightseeing at Nohkalikai Falls

Find yourself waking up from a soothing and wholesome sleep after the exhausting activities of yesterday. Get some fresh air and freshen up to kick start another interesting day, today. Proceed towards the breakfast table to enjoy a wholesome and warm breakfast to fill you up. Post breakfast, you will be driven to the Nohkalikai Waterfall. This will be your place of engagement today. Enjoy the mesmerizing beauty of the 1,115 ft tall waterfall and steal a relaxing dip in the Weisawgong three tiers waterfall. This place is sure to get your heart tied to it. Relish the act of swimming in the pond, bask under the warm sunlight and find yourself letting go of all the worldly worries. You may stroll around and catch glimpses of the aesthetic sceneries before you. Appreciate the panoramic views of the bright and refreshing green landscapes around you and indulge in the magic of sightseeing.

Day 5 – Caving- Krem Mawmluh

Roll back your sleeves and gear up for an exceptionally thrilling day today. Wake up with enthusiasm and excitement bottled up in you for you will be caving the Krem Mawmluh caves today. Quickly freshen up and proceed towards the breakfast table to indulge a piping hot, drool-worthy breakfast meal. Wear your adventure cap and be prepared to be flooded with adrenaline rushes and teeth grinding fun as you set outside to begin the 5^th day of your tour in Meghalaya. You will have to hike for about 30 minutes through dense forest and rocky trails to reach the entrance of the cave which is situated at an elevation of 10 ft above sea level. When you enter the cave, you will be fascinated to find out its depth as well as the many streams inside the caves which usually even fully submerge the caves under water during monsoon. Very few parts of the cave receive sunlight while most parts of it remain away from the reach of sun rays and hence remain dark and gloomy. It will be interesting to note the different varieties of calcite formations, caverns, pools and carves at the cave. Look out for the slippery trials and carefully yet swiftly follow your guide to help to best enjoy the activity as well as keep a check on your safety. Be prepared for belly crawls and climbs at different parts of the cave and thoroughly enjoy these techniques while you are at them. It will take approximately 5-6 hours for you to extensively explore the cave and return to the entrance. You will be driven back to the camps after a tiring yet wholesome and adventurous caving experience at the Krem Mawmluh cave. Get yourself some rest and quality sleep to wash off the exhaustion of the day.

Day 6 – River Canyoning in Sohra

After a blissful sleep last night, wake up to a calm and peaceful morning and freshen up to begin another awesome day, today. Proceed towards the breakfast table to enjoy a warm and yummy breakfast to store sufficient energy and stamina for the day. You will be driven to Sohra for river canyoning today. Enjoy the soul-stirring views of the landscapes as you pass by them on your way to Sohra. Upon reaching Sohra, gear up and resurface all the grit and vigour that you have in you to jump into the river and flow along its way. Enjoy freely escaping along nature’s trials and watch out for the water beds and pools along the way. You will also have the opportunity to climb over boulders and try waterfall abseiling. Unleash the adventure enthusiast in you and actively perform all the sports to satisfy your wanderlust. You will be able to complete this activity in approximately 3 hours.

Day 7 – Dawki River and Mawlynnong village visit

Wake up to a placid, bright sky in the morning and bask in the fresh sunlight to pull yourself together. Enjoy a diet rich meal for breakfast to soothe your hunger pangs and prepare for the activities of the day. You will be visiting the Dawki River and the village of Mawlynnong today. The Mawlynnong village is known for being the cleanest village in Asia as declared by the Discover India Magazine in 2003. Visit and observe the various alternatives taken by the locals for waste disposal and sustainable development. The village is exquisitely admirable and equally fascinating. Enjoy a good time strolling around the village and clicking those desired pictures for your social media platforms that you have been longing since almost eternity. Later you will be driven to the Dawki River. Located in the Jaintia Hills, the Dawki River is an epitome of beauty and serenity. Exercise the art of admiration and sightseeing as you reach the destination and find the pristine Dawki River flowing calmly in all its glory. The panoramic view of the landscape will surely take you by a storm. After a while of sightseeing and stealing glimpses of aesthetic pleasure, you will be driven back to the campsite.

Day 8 – Visit Bangladesh Border view point and return to Shillong

Brace yourself as you wake up to your second last morning in Meghalaya. Admire the beautiful and captivating sunrise and freshen up for the last activity of your tour in Meghalaya. Proceed to have a soul-warming breakfast and get ready to witness the Indo-Bangladesh border from the viewpoint at a skywalk. Enjoy your last drive in the beautiful state of Meghalaya on your way to the viewpoint. The state indeed has admirable landscapes that leave you awestruck and spellbound, truly. You may also visit interesting clubs around the town to witness the nightlife in Meghalaya. The nightlife here is quite vibrant, happening and absolutely worth witnessing.

Day 9 – Pack up and Check out

Finally wake up to your last morning in Shillong and admire the beautiful sky for the last time. Freshen up and proceed to have the scrumptious and warm meal, one last time at the home stay. Post breakfast, you may pack up, grab your essentials and gear up to return to Guwahati today. Hop onto the vehicles allotted to you and carry back loads of happy memories from the trip. Check out early, to reach the Guwahati airport in time. In any case, it is advised to book the return flights post 2pm only.

1. Confirmation Policy:

Upon Booking, An invoice will be sent to your mail & within 12 to 24 hours the booking confirmation with additional details will be sent to your mail.

2. Cancellation Policy:

(a) 10 percent of the prices of our trips/treks/tours or product or service is your deposit and is not refundable, in any case.

(b) Cancellation received 45 days or more: 90% refund

(d) Cancellation received 30 - 15 days: 30% refund

(e) Cancellation less than 15 days: No refund

3. Refund Policy:

Any refund applicable will be processed within 10 to 15 business days as per the company policy.

4. Postpone/Transfer of a booked trek:

1. You can postpone your booked trek for a period of two months (61 days) but we will charge a 20% processing fee. The last date for the postponement will be 15 days before the start of the trek. Failing to book the slot in 2 months (61 days) time, would be considered a cancellation with no refund of any kind. Postpone of a booked trek can only be done once.

2. You can transfer your booked slot for the trek to any fit person till 15 days before the trek. You just have to mail us the request and rest we will handle. The new person has to get all the mandatory documents duly signed for the trek.
