Why is Sandakphu trek not so popularised?

Published On 01 Mar 2020 by Oshank Soni

Trekking is one of those outdoor activities that give an experience of a lifetime. There are a lot of people who take it up as an adventure sport, but still, there are a lot more who are afraid. The experience of seeing nature in her raw state has inspired trekking activities. There are a lot of treks that open up the door for you to see the pristine form of nature and the underrated Sandakphu trek will find a place among them. It is often referred to as the hidden diamond kept back from many. So, there is every possibility that you might not know anything about this trek. This is said to be one of the most awesome and easy Himalayan treks. It gets started after the Singalila Ridge, which is located at the southernmost tip of the extending peak. The peak then gradually goes down to Kanchendzonga. This is where you can see Sikkim and Nepal. The trekking starts from New Jalpaiguri. Then you go on to Manebhanjan. The Sandakphu trek encompasses about 47 km.
