I am planning for a Sandakphu trek in April, can I do it alone without getting into fixed trek groups? How difficult is the trek?

Sandakhpu is one of the very few high altitude Himalayan treks in the northeastern region of India. It is one such treks whose trail takes you to another country. You have to pass the Sikkim border and reach Nepal and ultimately Sandakhphu. The trek duration is 7 days and the difficulty level is moderate. During December, the whole trail is covered in a blanket of snow and this makes the Sandakhpu trek remarkable during the winters. You will be privileged to witness some of the highest mountain peaks of the world covered entirely in white and fresh snow. There are chances of snowfall in this region during this time of the year. The temperature during this time falls below 0-degree centigrades and can even reach a minimum of -10 degrees centigrade. In order to visit and enjoy this trek, one should be fully prepared to tackle the low temperatures. Considering the above conditions, you should always opt for a trekking company to accomplish this trek. But, if you have done high altitude treks previously and have a good amount of idea about the Sandakhphu trek, then you can opt for this trek during April.
