Why is checking the depth of Prashar Lake prohibited?

Published On 01 Mar 2020 by Oshank Soni

One of the travelers at Prashar Lake queried this question to the head priest of the beautiful temple at Prashar Lake. He answered that a few years back 2 divers visited there and dived into the water to gauge the depth of the lake. Unfortunately, they could not make it to its bottom. Taking control of the situation, the administration deemed it as sacred. Henceforth, anyone was not allowed to dive into the sacred lake. Hence, checking the depth is prohibited by the administration and no one can go in.

The temple floor is covered with a thick layer of ice. It was unique from other temples in the Indian subcontinent in terms of no beggars and no forceful prasad buying. It is a very serene place to visit. The sound of the temple bell will have far-reaching hums in your body. It creates positive vibration. It is not crowded and around 40 people visit the temple during the morning time. It is a must-visit place for everyone who desires calmness.
