Which network is available in Hemkund Sahib and Valley of Flowers Trek?

Published On 17 May 2020 by Harshit Patel

The Valley of Flowers is one of the most beautiful stretches in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand. From the nearby town of Govindghat, hired shared cabs up to three kilometers are available, after which the trek to Ghangaria begins. The trek from Ghangaria to Sri Hemkund Sahib is another wonderful one. Hemkund Sahib is located at a height of around 4500m.

About network coverage, the most prominent connection is that of BSNL. Connectivity is suitably acceptable till Govindghat, after which it deteriorates drastically. IDEA also works here, which is also found near the entrance gate of Valley of Flowers. The last place on this trekking trail where one can discover moderate connectivity is Ghagaria. You will still need to go on higher grounds to hear correctly. Post-Ghangaria, the chances of connectivity are little to none at all. In all these places, it is highly advisable to have post-paid connections only.
