Generally, only vegetarian food is served on a trek because non-vegetarian food are extremely rich in protein which in turn increases the difficulty of digestion by our body. Generally, there are five to six servings of food each day which includes breakfast in the morning, lunch at noon, snacks in the evening, dinner at night and bedtime desert. Non-veg foods are avoided because they can lead to altitude sickness and other health issues during trekking.
