Published On 16 May 2020 by Harshit Patel

North India is a treasure chest for trekking enthusiasts. Here is a list of the most essential things to carry for trekking in the North Indian region:

  • A 40-50 liter Backpack.
  • Trekking shoes for better grip.
  • A rain-coat or poncho (even in summer, because the weather is quite unpredictable on the northern mountains).
  • Warm and comfortable clothing.
  • A pair of polarized sunglasses for protection from UV rays.
  • Other accessories like gloves, socks, scarves, caps, etc.
  • The first-aid box for medical emergencies.
  • A trekking pole and a head-light
  • Toiletries and other items necessary to maintain personal hygiene.
  • Sleeping equipment like a sleeping bag, neck-pillow, and fleece blankets, etc.
  • Necessary documents.
