Is the Roopkund trek ban still on?
Yes, even after more than a year, the ban is still on. Until and unless there is no order of revocation from the Uttarakhand high court there is no possibility that trekkers will be trek on Roopkund. Most probably you can hope for the best in the next season. But this season all the trekkers who love the trekking route of Roopkund will not be able to trek on this route. However, the passionate trekkers can opt for many alternatives. There are many trekking routes available which are as exciting as the Roopkund Trek.
