Is the Gurudongmar Lake in North Sikkim a trek route? If it is a trek route, please tell me in detail?

The answer is no. Gurudongmar Lake in North Sikkim is not a trek route. However, it can be reached by road. There is a travel route to reach there. The travel route starts from Gangtok which then passes through Lachen then it passes from the valley known as Thangu Valley then comes the Gurudongmar Lake. It is advisable to pass the night in Lachen and then start your journey the next day.
This typical route or passage starts from the very beautiful Gangtok. Lachen is at a distance of 6 hrs from here. Gurudongmar is about 40km distance from the Lachen. As said above, it is always advisable to stay in Lachen and then start your journey to Gurudongmar Lake.
Gurudongmar Lake is one of the highest Lake in all across the globe. It is situated at a height/altitude of 17,800 ft. it is in the Indian state of Sikkim. The best time to go to this Lake is November to June. The lake is situated at a very high altitude. Therefore, it is advisable to spend less time up there in the lake and come to Lachen as soon as possible.
