Is the Green Route Trek (Sakleshpur, Karnataka) still banned? If not, how can one get a permit for this trek?

Published On 01 Mar 2020 by Oshank Soni

Yes, it is still banned as many people have disappeared from this trek. This trek is often called the ?trekkers ? paradise,? and is known to surprise the hikers at every step of the way with the picturesque landscape.  The Trek is full of various flora and fauna, which have a natural habitat in Western Ghats ? beautiful evergreen forests.

The Western Ghats have more lies and mysteries in themselves than half the world combined. In the western ghats, there are places to go and see that will surprise you beyond belief.
One of them is the green route. The trees here are more elusive than the Amazon and are situated around 12,000 feet above sea level in the foothills of western ghats with miles of lush greenery.
