Is it possible to trek alone in Sikkim? If yes, what are the possible trek routes?

Published On 01 Mar 2020 by Oshank Soni

Permits to enter Sikkim are mandatory. The permits are referred to as a Restricted Area or Inner Line Permit which usually allow tours of the area for up to 15 days.

There is no procedure for applying online, so you must have your permit before you fly. You must typically obtain your permit if you ride with a traveling service. The Singalila ridge trek which offers amazing views of the Himalayas and stunning views of Kanchenjunga is highly recommended for first-time visitors.

For 10-12 days, Sikkim will be a good hiking route beginning in Yuksom, Tshoka, Dzongri, Lamune, and Thangsing, in Kasturi, and in Labdang, in Tashiding.

Some routes are also available but depends on what you?re looking for. It?s fun to go alone but learn the roads well and you don?t want to sit in the forest for 2 weeks. Not to mention, the combination of critical packaging and traveling light is strong. You can do a solo trek in Sikkim.
