Is it possible to do a trek in the Himalayas on your own without a guide/organized group?

Published On 01 Mar 2020 by Oshank Soni

There are large and wide Himalayas. You can only enter somewhere in the Himalayas with motorized vehicles. In addition, the ground hills where paths are feasible. Trekking is the only solution. In the Himalayas, there are different treks. Some are at distinct heights and some may occur at really long routed distance above sea level. Nonetheless, most of them walk at least 4 days or more from your last motor position. Treks like Chadar Trek, Roopkund Trek, Kalindi Khal Trek, etc. also require additional assistance such as animal carriers to carry food, etc.

This form of the trek is called trekking in an adventure style and you go for a week or two together with a really great team. Because of the above factors, the Himalayas need such trekking.

Going alone or in a small group of two or three is called trekking of the alpine type. This type of trekking is usually done in Europe. Since mountain ranges are not that challenging, and entry to the mountains is very easy. So you can go easily in a small group to the base where you have placed your vehicle.
