Published On 01 Mar 2020 by Oshank Soni

Winter is not the great season to visit Kedarnath, even if you are planning, you should know that the closing date of Kedarnath temple in the year 2019 was 29th October. Due to heavy rainfall in Kedarnath, no one stays there. About the weather, the temperature in Kedarnath goes below 0 during night time and around 10-12 degrees in the day time.

Until Sonprayag you can travel by Bus. After reaching Sonprayag, you need to hire a shared taxi from there to reach Gaurikund After reaching Gaurikund, you have to either do Trekking to Kedarnath Temple which is a 16 km trek, or you can also hire Poni, Palenquine or Khacchar (Mule). There are many hotels available there you can book them online. You can also book affordable Dharamshala near the Kedarnath temple.
