Trekking in hilly areas in the monsoon season can be tougher since it rains a lot in the hilly areas and gets all muddy and slippery. Certain precautions must be taken while going for trekking in monsoon:
1. Don?t forget to carry your raincoat and a spare one for caution and safety.
2. Make sure to cover your whole body properly since there can be some poisonous insects on the way during trekking.
3. Keep mosquito repellent spray and lotion with you to save yourself from dengue and malaria mosquitoes.
4. Do not wear cotton pants during trek since it absorbs lots of moisture, prefer GORE-TEX
instead of cotton pants.
5. The moisture can ruin your important documents and gadgets. Carry a waterproof bag or carry your electronic gadgets and documents like phone and ID card in a plastic bag.
