How do I travel (backpack) from Srinagar to Zanskar during early November?

Published On 01 Mar 2020 by Oshank Soni

The Srinagar-Leh highway is shut down in November so that you may want the 2nd and early 4th week in October.
Ideally, you need an INR 13 K allocation. Exact budget 10 K and emergency budget 3K. Use the Srinagar-Leh State Transportation Bus and get off at Kargil. You will find the timetable online or call the Srinagar Bus booth.
You will need to carry a shelter, warm clothes (2 pairs each), postpaid cell access, passports, cover-up socks, solid Quechua force shoes or best, solar generator, electric power tank, DSLR for a brilliant view of the milky way, and loads of dried fruit like seeds, cashews, etc.
The route are as follows :
Srinagar-Kargil-Padum(Zanskar)-Kargil-Srinagar
OR
Srinagar-Kargil-Padum(Zanskar)-Kargil-Leh-Kargil-Srinagar.
